Fin sealing (often referred to as flow wrapping) is a package formed loosely around a product with a long seal down the middle back of the package and crimped seals on each end of the package. It utilizes flexible packaging material which has a lower carbon imprint than most rigid packaging. The packaging can be clear (high clarity), or it can be printed with random print, registered print, or made to be opaque. It can be customized featuring such items as logos or product information.
Fin sealing is most beneficial for large volume projects such as promotional materials (coupons, brochures, samples) and baseball cards. It uses USPS approved material and is an FDA approved package. It can be a very cost-effective way to offer a tamper resistant package.
